About

As a self-taught visual maker, creative researcher, sound designer, and director, I am keen to synthesize cultural trends and phenomena for projects and branding/marketing strategies. I recently graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in African and African American Studies with Honors and Distinction and a minor in Art. As a passionate young creative eager to express and develop my multidisciplinary skills further, I actively implore my expansive approach to multitudes of practices to craft and carry out projects with intentional effectiveness.

My experiences, [physical, social, and cultural] environments, and media consumption continue to shape my nuanced thoughts on life as a Nigerian American born and raised in Dallas. Moments of discovery, reflection, introspection, and awareness of my positioning as a Blackqueer person influence my lo-fi videos, experimental sonic design, expressive photography, mixed-media presentations of digital manipulations, texturized designs, intricate yet fluid drawings, and my overall multifaceted sense of direction.

My audiovisual work's low resolution and opacity provide folks the agency to roam, reveal, and remain pixelated, shaky, blurry, glitchy, noisy, distorted, inaudible, elusive, and abstract in the messy flux of self-realization. My audiovisual projects are an Afropresentist mode to reimagine my sense of self, community, and relationship with cultural memory, the everyday present, and envisionings of the future.

In my globally charting podcast, ‘a coming of age, but irl,’ I offer entertaining insight on trends, pop culture, and creativity while blurring introspection and conversation through uniquely crafted sonic experiences.
