Event Production + Curation
As the Editor-At-Large and Lead Creative Director of MINT Magazine, a student-led creative culture magazine based in Stanford, California, I restructured the magazine to better reflect the ever-evolving landscapes and aesthetics of the students. With our dynamic print and digital production cycles, I helped develop a platform for students to explore, experiment, and engage with their creative expression and the expansiveness of editorial projects. I led efforts that turned MINT into a biannual publication with a redesigned logo and a refreshing digital and on-campus social presence.

To mark this critical shift in the structure of the publication, I redesigned MINT's logo to reflect this creative student-centered magazine's bold presence in the high-tech heart of Silicon Valley. The textured felt of the lettering creates a subtle flare to the contemporary typeface that lives across our print and digital assets.

Switching to a bi-annual publication allowed our creative and operational teams to slow down the production cycles and allowed me to catalyze a renaissance of a more adventurous creative focus that pushed members to pursue their creative curiosity more unapologetically outside of the confines of the school. As Lead Creative Director, I used my extensive research skills to craft in-depth mood boards that guided the exploration of various thematic approaches and aesthetic considerations per issue.

Editorial Curation
Brand Identity, Creative Direction, Production, Post-Production

I crafted key collaborations with designers, artists, writers, photographers, and student-led organizations featured in the print and digital efforts as a magazine, such as a profile on Stanford’s Skate Club and the Black Gender Marginalized Collective’s Inaugural Pink Party. While partnering with Bay Area’s social network, Hotspot Creatives, I collaborated with Empress Vintage to host the Fall/Winter 2022-23 cover shoot in their store and later organized a pop-up sale for students. All these efforts and more have continued to encourage MINT members to contribute to the evolving shaping of the magazine’s aesthetic reach, making the physical magazines a special collectible that creatively represents the complex developments on campus.

Website Design
Creative Direction

With my UI/UX design knowledge, I led initiatives to redesign the website to serve as our professional and evolving portfolio/archive. I crafted in-depth mood boards and layout concepts for the web designer, Sebastian Hochman, and provided creative feedback while working closely together.

Launch Parties
Event Production + Curation, Social Media Strategy

To celebrate our contributors and reinvigorate our social presence outside of MINT members, I led initiatives to put more effort into producing our launch parties for every issue, making it the only place to retrieve a limited and free copy of the magazine.

Social media posts around our launch parties have increased our reach tremendously. Even high school students come to Stanford immediately wanting to join MINT after following our Instagram page for years. MINT launch parties have become one of the most anticipated and staple events of the school year, providing greater brand recognition across campus and feeding into our recruitment cycle for the following school year.

With knowledge of nightlife and music scenes, I curated strong lineups of student DJs. With sets including fun and experimental mixes of Pop, Rap, R&B, Dance, and Afrobeats, MINT partygoers dance with ebbs and flows in tempos and styles. With my direction, we partnered with Stanford's Concert Network to help with sound and lighting production. Our mixture of nighttime parties and relaxed daytime events allows students to come together for a euphoric celebration of creative expression.
